- This hit track was a reinterpretation of a Punjabi song originally released in a 2000 album of the same title by the Punjabi folk artist Amar Arshi. Amar Arshi had also re-recorded the song just a few months before the release of this film for the music label Angel Records. He had no idea at that time that the song would be re-created by Badshah for a Hindi film.[1]
- The tune of this song was plagiarised for the Hindi film song "Jai Maa" ("Behen Hogi Teri", 2017).[2]
