Trivia

  • Vishal Bhardwaj had always wanted to compose a song that evoked the mood of one of his favorite Gulzar songs "Mera Kuchh Saamaan" ("Ijaazat", 1988). He eventually did compose such a song for a non-film album, "Locket" ("Boodhe Pahadon Par", 2006), sung by Suresh Wadkar. While "Locket" was from a man's perspective, this song presented the woman's point of view.[1][2][3]
  • This song sequence showed actor Emraan Hashmi reading a book called "Neglected Poems". The book's selection for this song was not an accident. It happens to be a book containing lyricist Gulzar's poems translated to English by writer Pavan K. Varma.
