Trivia

  • This song was composed by R.D. Burman as a young boy. His father, S.D. Burman, apparently used this tune without telling him.[MR4]
  • Chetan Anand developed severe differences with Dev Anand during the making of this film. Things came to a head while shooting this song when Chetan left the set in a huff over an argument with his brother. The song was then shot by their younger brother Vijay who was an Assistant Director in the film. Chetan parted ways with the Navketan banner after this film. He directed a few films for other banners before launching Himalaya Films, whose first production was "Haqeeqat" (1964). Chetan and Dev got back together two decades later for two films - "Jaaneman (1976), a film that marked Navketan's 25th anniversary, and "Sahib Bahadur" (1976), a Himalaya Films production.[1][2][3][MR52]
