- This was a cover version of a popular song from the film "Kudrat" (1981). The song gave the film its title. The original song was composed by R.D. Burman and written by Majrooh Sultanpuri, and had two versions - one sung by Kishore Kumar and the other by Parveen Sultana. Composer Raaj Aashoo recorded three versions of the recreated song - one sung by Sonu Nigam and two by Shreya Ghoshal. One of Shreya's versions was fairly close to Parveen Sultana's rendition. While the rest of the film's soundtrack was published by T-Series, the recreated versions were released by Saregama.[1]
