- This song was inspired by "Besame Mucho", a song written by the Mexican musician Consuelo Velasquez in 1940. Consuelo's composition itself was inspired by the piano piece "Quejas O La Maja y El Ruisenor" written by the Spanish composer Enrique Granados in 1911.[1]
- A portion of this song was adapted by Raamlaxman for the antara of the song "Batao Tum Kaun Ho" ("Anmol", 1993). The 1993 song was perhaps a tribute of producer Manmohan Desai to actress Nanda on whom the original song was filmed. Nanda was engaged to Manmohan Desai from 1992 till the time of his accidental death in 1994.[2][3]
