This was lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri's only song in the film. While he was credited in the film's music records, his name was missing in the opening credits.
The tune of a portion of the song's mukhda may have been inspired by the song "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)" written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans. The song was first recorded by Doris Day for the Alfred Hitchcock film "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1956).[1]
