- The song was an adaptation of the Gujarati film song "Hey Ranglo" ("Sonbai Ni Chundadi", 1976) composed by Avinash Vyas. Even before "Sonbai Ni Chundadi" (1976), Avinash Vyas had recorded a non-film version of the song in the voice of Purushottam Upadhyay. Another Hindi film song, "O Sheronwali" ("Suhaag", 1979), was based on the same tune.[1][2][3]
