- This song was adapted from "Hava Nagila", a Hebrew folk song sung at Jewish weddings and bar mitzvahs. The song has been performed by many prominent artists, including Harry Belafonte, Connie Francis, Chubby Checker, and Neil Diamond. The tune of "Hava Nagila" was also used by Bappi Lahiri in the Hindi film song "Habba Ha Habila" ("Dharma Karma", 1997).[1][2]
