This song was based on the tune of the Tamil film song "Ayyaiyaiya Solla Vekkamaaguthae" ("Mangamma Sabatham", 1943) composed by S Rajeswara Rao and M.D. Parthasarathy. The same tune was also used in the Telugu remake for the song "Ayyaiyaiya Cheppu Siggu Aayene" ("Mangala", 1951). The Tamil song itself used the tune of the song "I, Yi, Yi, Yi, Yi (I Like You Very Much)" originally composed by Harry Warren, written by Mack Gordon and performed by Carmen Miranda for the Hollywood film "That Night In Rio" (1941). This tune was also used in the Tamil film song "Ayyae Ayyae Paarka Kann Koosuthae" ("Vedhala Ulagam", 1948).[1][2][3][4]
