- Anurag Kashyap shot this song sequence when the song wasn't yet ready. He added Ammy Virk's hit Punjabi song "Qismat" (2017) to the footage and sent it to music director Amit Trivedi as a reference for the song he wanted for the film. When Trivedi heard the song, he asked Kashyap if it wouldn't be better for them to license Ammy Virk's song. Anurag Kashyap disagreed and asked him to compose a better song. Virk made his Hindi film debut as a singer in it. Incidentally, the flute in the prelude of "Qismat" and the beginning of its antara appear to have been plagiarised from A.R. Rahman's Tamil film song "Anjali Anjali" ("Duet", 1994).[1][2][3]
