The filming of this iconic romantic rain song in unsupervised locations was a last-minute decision since it was not possible to shoot it on sets. Director Basu Chatterjee let Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee improvise, and the crew went from location to location filming the song in some of the most well-known landmarks of Bombay. It was Amitabh's brother Ajitabh who drove the actors from one location to the next. Since the actors weren't very well-known at the time, the crew managed to finish shooting at each location quickly before the crowds realised what was happening. The torrential rains meant that Moushumi's makeup and her saree were running colour throughout the filming.[1]
A cover version of this song was recorded by Rochak Kohli for the film "Music Teacher" (2019). The cover was a duet sung by Papon and Shreya Ghoshal.[2]
