- Khayyam wasn't happy with Mohammed Rafi's singing in this song. He had intended for Rafi's tone to be soft in this song, but the singer had used a more boisterous approach in it. Khayyam had told Rafi that the tone he had used in this song was similar to the one he had used in "Savere Wali Gadi Se Chale Jayenge" ("Latt Saheb", 1967), which was not appropriate for this song. Rafi had tried to convince Khayyam that another recording was not needed, but the composer had insisted and gotten the singer to record the song again.[1][2]
