- This song used the tune of the Bangladeshi film song "Bondhu Tin Din Tor Barite Gelam" ("Koshai", 1980), sung by Runa Laila and composed by Alauddin Ali. The Runa Laila song itself was based on the tune of the non-film song "Sohag Chand Badani Dhani" (1965) by Nirmalendu Chowdhury.[1][2]
- Smita Patil made a cameo appearance in this song. Her scenes in this song were apparently from the unused footage of the film "Namak Halaal" (1982).[3]
