- Ram Sampath had originally composed this song about four years ago for an album titled "Raat/Din". The album was to be recorded by Sona Mohapatra. It appears that the album was not released but a few songs from it were released as singles. Javed Akhtar retained the hook lyrics of the original song written by Ram Sampath but wrote new lyrics for the remaining song.[1]
