- This was a cover version of a song credited to Dr. Bal Sidhu, a London-based songwriter. However, a production house named Bapu Arts International sent a legal notice to Sonu Sood's production house, Shakti Sagar Productions, alleging copyright infringement. They claimed that the song was originally composed for their Punjabi film "Dushmani Dee Aag" (1990). Sonu Sood responded by saying that they had procured the song's rights from Bal Sidhu. The matter was taken up by the Bombay High Court which ruled in favour of Shakti Sagar Productions and dismissed the petition of Bapu Arts International.[1][2][3]
