- The tune of the mukhda of this song was inspired by the song "If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium" first recorded by the Dutch vocalist Bojoura in 1967. Written by the Scottish musician Donovan, "If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium" became the title of a 1969 comedy film, which featured a version of this song performed by J.P. Rags.[1]
- Zeenat Aman was supposed to feature in this song in the pink salwar kameez she had worn in the film before the song had started. However, Nasir Husain and Zeenat Aman agreed that the costume didn't quite work for the song. Zeenat Aman then suggested that she change into the Western dress she eventually wore in the song.[MR14]
- Music director Chakravarthy used the tune of this song for a song in the film's Telugu remake - "Gulabi Poovvai" ("Annadammula Anubandham", 1975).[2]
