- The tune of this song's mukhda was adapted from the popular jazz standard "Autumn Leaves" or "Les Feuilles Mortes" composed by Joseph Kosma in 1945. The original song has been covered by hundreds of artists over the years, including Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Eva Cassidy and Eric Clapton. This tune was previously adapted by Shankar - Jaikishan for the Hindi film song "Jaane Chaman Shola Badan" ("Gumnaam", 1965).
