Trivia

    Song

  • Rukh Pe Powder Lab Pe Surkhi - This song featured lines from a few other songs - Elvis Presley's "Got a Lot o' Livin' to Do" (1957), Little Richard's "Jenny Jenny" (1957), Cliff Richard's "The Young Ones" (1961), and the Hindi film song "Abhi Naa Jao Chhod Kar" ("Hum Dono", 1961). While "Abhi Naa Jao Chhod Kar" ("Hum Dono", 1961) and the parodied lines based on it were sung by Mahendra Kapoor and Geeta Dutt, the lines from the other songs were sung by an uncredited male artist. Prakash, the actor on whom the song was filmed, mimicked Elvis Presley, Little Richard, and Cliff Richard and wore a blackface for the "Jenny Jenny" portion of the song.[1][2][3][4]
  • Bombay 1965 Cha Cha Cha (Shabab Aaya Khule Hain) - 1 - This song was used for a single song sequence in the film but was issued in two parts on music records.
  • Rafta Rafta Woh Humare Dil Ke - Qamar Jalalabadi's lyrics for this song were adapted by lyricist Tasleem Fazli for a hit song composed by Nashad and sung by Mehdi Hassan for the Pakistani film "Zeenat" (1975). The composition and lyrics of the song in "Zeenat" (1975) were adapted again, several years later, by Anu Malik and Majrooh Sultanpuri for "Dheere Dheere Aap Mere" ("Baazi", 1995).[5][6][7]
