The film was certified as "I Killed Him" in October 2015. The title was officially altered in April 2016 and released in June 2016.
A video was leaked before the release of this film showing the film's lead actors, Reeth Majumdar and Johny Baweja, being intimate. It was later revealed that the video was a promotional clip from the film. It was reported that the family of actor Harman Baweja, the cousin of Johny Baweja, was upset about this video and distanced themselves from the debutant actor.[1]
