Trivia

    Album

  • This film was widely acknowledged to be music director O.P. Nayyar's debut Hindi film. Nayyar himself considered it to be his first. However, a 78 rpm record of a film titled "Sehra Se Door" surfaced in 2022, which indicates that Nayyar had debuted earlier. Based on its record number, it appears that "Sehra Se Door" was released between 1948 and 1950. It is not known if it had other songs or if the film itself was released.[1][MR4]

    Song

  • Piya Aan Base More Nainan Mein (Mori Nindiya Churaye Gayo) - According to Lata Mangeshkar, O.P. Nayyar had approached her for this song but she had refused to sing it. Her refusal apparently irked O.P. Nayyar enough to never use Lata's voice for any of his songs. O.P. Nayyar, however, categorically denied that he ever approached Lata for this or any other song.[MR4]
  • Piya Aan Base More Nainan Mein (Mori Nindiya Churaye Gayo) - This was the only song Rajkumari sang for O.P. Nayyar. Many decades later, she sang this song live in the finale of the 1998 Sa Re Ga Ma TV show hosted by Sonu Nigam. O.P. Nayyar was a judge on that show.
