Trivia

    Album

  • It appears that the story of this film, written by debutant R.S. Verma, was chosen for this film after it won a film story contest conducted by the Hindi magazine Madhuri. The opening credits of the film credited the film's story to R.S. Verma along with the descriptor "courtesy: Madhuri film story contest".
  • Although they were not credited for it, this was the first Hindi film of the writing duo Salim - Javed. The film's opening credits credited Ramesh Pant for the film's "shooting scripts, dialogues & lyrics". However, the film's script was, in fact, written by Salim - Javed, who till that time had not even considered teaming up to write for films. They had completed the film's script in twelve days for a fee of Rs. 5000. Salim - Javed would officially debut later that year with the screenplay for the film "Haathi Mere Saathi" (1971). They were also credited for the "Additional Script Work" of the film "Andaz" (1971) along with Satish Bhatnagar.[1][2][MR34]

    Song

  • Koi Maane Ya Naa Maane - Portions of this song were sampled for the instrumental track "Do Not Fire!" (2004) by the American hip-hop group Madvillain consisting of MF DOOM and Madlib.[3]
  • Rekha O Rekha Jabse Tumhe Dekha - The hook lyrics of a song in the film "Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl" (2020) were perhaps inspired by this song.[4]
