• This was the debut Hindi film of music director Raamlaxman. Raamlaxman started off as a music director duo consisting of musicians Surendra Hendre and Vijay Patil who took on the pseudonyms of Ram and Laxman. Ram passed away after the duo signed this film. However, Laxman continued to use the duo's stage name even after that. Raamlaxman had a few moderate successes over the next few years but had to wait for more than a decade for his first big hit - "Maine Pyar Kiya" (1989).[1]
• The audio records of this film were issued in 1976 but the film was released in 1977.
• This film became a surprise hit and made lead actor Mahendra Sandhu famous, albeit for a brief period. Decades later, filmmaker Sriram Raghavan paid tribute to the film by using its title for a 2012 film starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Raghavan even offered Mahendra Sandhu a role in the film, but the actor declined it. Sandhu had retired from films in the 1990s and transitioned to a successful career as a builder.[2]
• Lyricist Ravinder Rawal debuted in this film. Raamlaxman and Ravinder Rawal went on to work together in many more films over the years.
