Trivia

    Album

  • The title theme of this film was originally the title theme composed by R.D. Burman for the film "Joshila" (1973). This theme has been used for the opening credits of several other films, including films in which R.D. Burman was not the music director.[1]
  • This film was launched with the title "Madhuri". It was in the making for several years and director Manik Chatterjee died before it was completed. Bharat Rungachary then took the film to closure. Incidentally, Manik Chatterjee hadn't been able to complete his previous Hindi film "Ghar" (1977) either. Gulzar had wrapped it up after Chatterjee had met with an accident.[2]
  • The opening credits appeared almost forty minutes into this film.
  • This was Rakesh Roshan's last film in a leading role.
