  • The film opened with a dedication to mothers and sisters.
  • This was the first film in which Kamal Amrohi and Meena Kumari worked together. They met in the early 1950s and fell in love despite their big age difference. He was 34 and she was just 19 when they got married in 1952. The film's story was said to be inspired by their real-life love story.[1]
