Trivia

    Album

  • This film was based on T.A. Razzaq's story for the Malayalam film "Perumazhakkalam" (2004).
  • This was the first of the three films in which director Nagesh Kukunoor and actress Ayesh Takia worked together. The other two films were "8x10 Tasveer" (2009) and "Mod" (2011).[1][2]
  • The film opened with a tribute to filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee and an iconic line from his film "Anand" (1970) - "Zindagi badi honi chahiye... lambi nahi. Here's to you Hrishida". It was released a few weeks after Hrishikesh Mukherjee's death on 27 August 2006.[3]

    Song

  • Yeh Hausla Kaise Jhuke - Salim - Sulaiman came up with the tune of this song after filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor rejected their original composition for it. The rejected tune ended up becoming the song "Maula Mere Le Le Meri Jaan" ("Chak De India", 2007) - a song for which the music director duo got the requirement two weeks before the film's release.[4][5]
  • Allah Hoo Allah Hoo - This was Master Saleem's debut Hindi film song.
