Trivia

    Album

  • This film was adapted from Rabindranath Tagore's novel "Noukadubi" (English: "The Wreck"). Nitin Bose's "Milan" (1946) was also based on the same novel. The novel has been the basis for many Bengali films as well.[1][2]
  • Mohammed Rafi's "Raha Gardishon Mein Hardam" was originally recorded in Mukesh's voice for this film. However, the song was not used in the film because it was disrupting the narrative. Ravi later included it in "Do Badan" (1966) in Rafi's voice.[3][MR1]
