Trivia

    Album

  • The audio records of this film were issued in 1972 but the film was released in 1973.
  • This film was inspired by events surrounding Operation Cactus-Lilly of the India - Pakistan war of 1971. It was perhaps the earliest Hindi film with the Indian Air Force (IAF) and air warfare as its central themes. IAF pilots, including Flight Lieutenants Samar Shah and Manvir Singh, and Wing Commander Padmanabha Gautam, who led missions in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, were involved in the films shooting.[1]
  • This was producer Ravi Anand's first film. His brother Mukul S. Anand, who went on to become a leading film director, was an assistant director in this film.
  • This was Amjad Khan's first film in an adult role. The name of his character in this film was Amjad as well. Khan had worked previously as a child artist in a few films in the 1950s.
