- This was Goel Cine Corporation's last Hindi film. It was the only film produced by brothers Ajay and Sunil Goel, and it launched their sister Vinita Goel. The film was dedicated to the Goel family patriarch Devendra Goel.
- This film appears to be an adaptation of Bimal Roy's classic "Madhumati" (1958).[1]
