Trivia

    Album

  • This film was originally titled "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna". Karan Johan got the idea of a different title when he heard a song from the film "Hameshaa" (1997), and decided to use the "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" title for a different film instead.[1][2][3]
  • Nikhil Advani debuted as a director in this film. Karan Johar wrote in his book, "An Unsuitable Boy", that he regretted not directing the film himself.[4]

    Song

  • Pretty Woman - This song was a take on Roy Orbison's signature song "Pretty Woman". The "Pretty Woman" line in the song and the guitar riff were from the original song while the rest of it is was composed by Shankar - Ehsaan - Loy. The producers of the film had obtained the required copyright license for this use.[5]
