The music of this film was released in August 2012 but the film itself was released in June 2013.
This was the directorial debut of Zubair Khan, the son-in-law of Haseena Parkar, the sister of the notorious underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The film was rumoured to be based on Dawood's life as a young police informer.[1][2]
