Trivia

    Album

  • This was actress Rhea Chakraborty's debut Hindi film.
  • Car manufacturer Maruti signed a path-breaking in-film branding deal with Y Films for this film. The Maruti brand featured in the film's title and their upcoming model Ertiga was an important element in its plot. Maruti Ertiga was launched in India a few weeks after the film's release. The film recouped a large part of its budget from the branding deal. Maruti promoted the film aggressively as a means to promote Ertiga. They put up posters of the film in their showrooms and purchased more than 50,000 CDs of the film's music to distribute to their customers. Y Films parent company Yash Raj Films had tied up with Maruti before to promote the Swift sedan in "Bunty Aur Babli" (2005).[1][2]

    Song

  • Haay - Panjabi MC's songs had been used in Hindi films before but this was the first original song he produced and recorded for Hindi films.
