Trivia

    Album

  • The film was inspired by real-life incidents. It was inspired in particular by a 2012 news story of a man who was given a 5-year jail sentence by a Rajasthan court for having sex with a buffalo.[1]
  • This was journalist Vinod Kapri's first Hindi film as a director.

    Song

  • In Kutton Ke Saamne Naach Basanti Naach - The song's hook line was inspired by a famous line delivered by Dharmendra in the film "Sholay" (1975). The same line also inspired the songs "Naach Basanti Naach" ("Jia Aur Jia", 2017), "Basanti No Dance In Front Of These Dogs" ("Super 30", 2019), and "Basanti Aaj Kutton Ke Saamne Na Naach" ("Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari", 2020).[2][3][4]
  • Andhera Andhera (Theme Song) - This was the solo Hindi film debut of Susmit Sen, the former lead guitarist of Indian Ocean, a band he had co-founded with Asheem Chakravarty. He had left the band in 2013 over creative differences to pursue a solo career.[5]
