Trivia

    Album

  • In its opening titles, this film credited the Japanese film "Ugetsu Monogatari" (1953), directed by Kenji Mizoguchi, as its inspiration. The film's screenplay itself was adapted from Indian folklore.
  • This film was certified and its audio records released in 1975. Although the film was shown in film festivals, it failed to find buyers and remained unreleased for four years. It eventually got a limited theatrical release in 1979. This remains the debutant director Rajendranath Shukla's only Hindi film.[1]

    Song

  • Aas Ka Jhoota Bandhan Toota - This was the first Hindi film song sung by the Pakistani ghazal and playback singer Mehdi Hassan.
