Trivia
- This was a remake of the Tamil film "Kumudham" (1961). The Tamil film was also remade in Telugu as "Manchi Manasulu" (1962) and in Malayalam as "Susheela" (1963).
Album
- Meri Ankhon Se Koi Neend Liye Jaata Hai - In the original recording of the song, the sitar was not as prominent as it is in the final version. Madan Mohan re-recorded the song because he felt that the additional sitar interludes would improve it.[1]
- Meow Meow Meri Sakhi - Madan Mohan had initially composed a different song for this song sequence. The song, titled "Mujhe Apni Ankhiyaan Dede O Pyare Panchhi", was sung by Lata Mangeshkar. However, at the producer's insistence, he replaced it with a different song based on the tune of the song "Meow Meow Poonaikutti" from "Kumudham" (1961), the Tamil film of which this film was a remake.[2][3]
