Trivia

    Album

  • This was the first released film of music directors Basu - Manohari. Producer Mehmood had wanted his old friend R.D. Burman to compose music for this film. However, Burman was unwilling, and Mehmood ended up using his assistants Basudev Chakraborty and Manohari Singh instead. Burman's influence on the film's music was evident. Basu - Manohari had debuted earlier with the music of the unreleased film "Yasmeen" (1973).[1]
  • The premise of this film may have been inspired by the Kannada film "Kasidre Kailasa" (1971) starring Rajkumar.

    Song

  • Sabse Bada Rupaiya - This song was re-created by the London-based band Trickbaby for the Hindi film "Bluffmaster!" (2005). Mehmood's vocals in this song were re-recorded by Chetan Shashital in the cover version.[2]
