Trivia

    Album

  • Writer, director and lyricist Irshad passed away during the making of this film. The film was dedicated to him.
  • This was the last film for which Varsha Bhosle sang. It was also the only film in which she sang with her mother, Asha Bhosle. She went on to make a career as a writer. Years later when she was asked why she had quit singing, she had said that she could not take the pressure of working in the film industry. Varsha Bhosle committed suicide in 2012. She was reportedly suffering from depression in her last days.[1]

    Song

  • Saqiya Tu Koi Shayar Nahin Hai - This was a rare Hindi film song that featured a mother (Asha Bhosle) and her son (Hemant Bhosle) and daughter (Varsha Bhosle).
  • Sansanikhez Koi Baat - The percussion in this song may have been inspired by the song "Rasputin" (1978) by Boney M.[2]
  • Sansanikhez Koi Baat - This was the only Hindi film song in which music director Hemant Bhosle sang with his mother, Asha Bhosle. In fact, this is the only Hindi film song in which he is credited as a singer.
