Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the Telugu film "Pandanti Kapuram" (1972).
  • This was the only film in which music director Naushad worked with lyricist Anand Bakshi.
  • This was actress Priti Sapru's debut Hindi film. She came from an illustrious film family - actor Sapru was her father, actor Tej Sapru her brother and writer Reema Rakesh Nath her sister.

    Song

  • Hello Hello Kya Haal Hai - Naushad always had misgivings about Kishore Kumar as a singer. After ignoring him for most of his career, Naushad used Kishore's voice for the first and only time for this song. However, the song was not filmed and did not appear in the movie. Sadly, Kishore Kumar was not even listed in the film's opening credits.
  • Hello Hello Kya Haal Hai - Naushad adapted the tune of the Hindi film song "Hum Aur Tum Aur Ye Khushi" ("Alibaba", 1940) for this song. The original song was composed by Anil Biswas, written by Aah Sitapuri, and sung by Surendra and Wahidan Bai.[1]
