Started by percussionist Christopher Powell, Bandish, an Indie pop band, was formed in 2006. Other members of the band include Desmond Powell and Adil Manuel (guitar), Bobby (percussions), Brennon Denfer (bass), Ulrich Gomes (keyboards), Deepak Nair (vocals), Robert (tech) and Sidhu (sound engg.).

Their first album, “Kaise Kahoon” (2006) was released by Times Music. The song “Goonj” from this album was very well received. They were nominated for The Best Band of the Year at the Jack Daniels Rocks Awards 2007.

Their second album, “Bandish” (July 2010) was cut by Universal Music and features renowned British percussionist Pete Lockett.
