Bappa Lahiri is a playback singer and music director in the Hindi film industry. He was an arranger for Knight Riders theme song and also helped compose it.
He is the son of Bappi Lahiri, popular music director from the eighties. Bappa has a sister called Rema. He hails from a family of musicians with his grandparents Aparesh and Bansari Lahiri also being musicians. He is a trained tabla player. Bappa began his career in music direction by assisting his legendary father and also Anand Raj Anand.
Few of the movies Bappa has been music director for include “Department” (2012), “A Flat” (2010), “Acid Factory” (2009), “C Kkompany” (2008), “Jai Veeru” (2009) and “Dus Kahaniyan” (2007). Other than Hindi he has also worked on vernacular movies like Puri Jagganadh’s Telugu movie “Nenu Naa Rakshasi” (2011). “Kammo Tere Ishq Mein” (“Department”, 2012) sung by Mika and “Khatti Meethi” (“Acid Factory”, 2009) sung by Mansi Scott are two of his popular songs.
