B.R. Tripathi was a lyricist in the Hindi film industry and was active during the 1970s.

He wrote mostly in B-grade movies and for South Indian composers. Some of the films he wrote lyrics for are Ratna Dakoo (1972), Alakh Niranjan (1975) and Pratishodh (1980).
