Kamaal Khan is a UK born Indi-pop/playback singer, song writer and actor of Indian origin.
He was born on March 12, 1972 in Highgate, North London. His interest in Hindi filmi music began when he was eight years old, which resulted in a vast collection of over 200 songs.
Kamaal Khan became a singer after a lot of persuasion by his elder brother, Jamal Khan. He finally made his debut with the song “O, Oh Jaane Jaana”, which he had composed and written in 1995.

The song, which was recorded at the Yojo Working Studios in London and released in 1996, became a super hit and stayed on top of the charts for months. This song also featured in the Bollywood film “Pyaar Karna to Darna Kya” in 1998 which had Salman Khan and Kajol in leading roles.
He became the first UK born singer to win a Filmfare award in 1999 by winning the Filmfare Award for the Most Promising Upcoming Talent. He released a number of solo albums including “O, Oh Jaane Jana” in 1998, “Suno To Deewana Dil” in 2000 and “Kal Raat” in 2003, which was later made into a music video in collaboration with the MTV-award winning music director, Shivraj Shantakumar. He debuted as a Bollywood film actor in 2005 in director Rahul Rawail’s film “Jo Bole So Nihaal” also starring Sunny Deol.
His song “Ishq Vishq” also featured in the 2009 film “Wanted”, again starring Salman Khan.
Kamaal Khan has also appeared in the musical reality show “Dhoom Macha De”. He has performed over 250 concerts in more than 27 countries.
