With a career that began in 1990 as a songwriter, Nawab Arzoo has tried his hand at dialogue writing and screenplay in Bollywood. He has also made a transition to television and has been associated with Balaji Telefilms since 1997.
Some of his popular songs are “Baazigar O Baazigar” (“Baazigar”, 1993), “Hum Unse Mohabbat Karke” (“Gambler”, 1995) and “Dil Se Dil Takraya” (“Beti No. 1”, 2000). “Jaan Tere Naam” (1992), “The Don” (1995), “Mr. Bechara” (1996), “Malamaal Weekly” (2006) and “Trump Card” (2009) are some of his other movies. He has worked with music directors like Anu Malik, Lalit Sen, Bappi Lahiri, Anand-Milind, Nadeem-Shravan and Dilip-Sameer. He considers lyricist Anand Bakshi to be his guru.
