- This song was based on the song "Polly Wolly Doodle", which was first published in the Harvard student songbook in 1880. It later gained popularity as a nursery rhyme and was the basis of Boney M's "Hooray! Hooray! It's A Holi-Holiday". "Polly Wolly Doodle" may have also inspired the Hindi film songs "Beech Bajariya Paaon Pakad Kar" ("Madmast", 1953) and "Kaun Hoon Main Kya Naam Hai Mera" ("Dard Ka Rishta", 1983).[1][2][3][4]
