- The opening line of the song was possibly taken from a folk song. The same line was used again in a very popular song in the film "Mera Saaya" (1966). Another song sung by Miss Dulari and recorded in 1932 had the line but didn't credit any composer or lyricist. The tune of the song in "Mera Saaya" (1966) was very similar to Miss Dulari's recording.[1][2]
