- Meena Kumari had fractured the little finger of her left hand in a car accident in 1951. The injury hadn't healed properly and had left the finger crooked. The actress became very conscious of its appearance and would try to conceal it whenever she shot her scenes. This was particularly evident in this song in which she "played" the sitar without her left hand on the frets.[1]
