- The composition of this song was based on Aditya Chopra's brief to Jatin - Lalit to compose a song like "Bachna Ae Haseeno" ("Hum Kisise Kum Naheen", 1977), but for Shammi Kapoor.[1]
- Shah Rukh Khan, who had to hold Kajol up in a dance pose at the end of the song, was supposed to let her fall when the song ended. Kajol was not told about this in order to capture her spontaneous reaction.
