The tune of this song and another song in the film, "Chura Lo Dil", was adapted from the signature song of the French singer Edith Piaf, "La Vie En Rose". Released as a single in 1947, the song was composed by Louiguy and its lyrics were written by Edith Piaf herself. The song became very popular and has been covered over the years by many artists including Bing Crosby, Dean Martin and Louis Armstrong. The tune of this song also inspired the Hindi film song, "Aaj Kahin Na Ja" ("Bade Dil Wala", 1983).[1][2]
