This song was inspired by a song from the Walt Disney musical "Mary Poppins" (1964), "Chim Chim Cher-ee". Composed by the Sherman Brothers, the 1964 song won the Oscar Award for Best Original Song. "Chim Chim Cher-ee" itself was said to be inspired by the Yiddish songs, "Vaylu" and "Tumbalalaika". A few years later, Anand Raj Anand also used this tune for the song "Chim Chimni" ("Ghoonghat", 1997).[1][2]
