- The tune of this song was inspired by the theme of the film "Limelight" (1952), composed by Charlie Chaplin. R.D. Burman had adapted the theme previously for the song "Tum Meri Zindagi Mein" ("Bombay To Goa", 1972). A few other Hindi film songs were based on this theme - "Zindagi Hai Kya Sun Meri Jaan" ("Maya", 1961), "Sun Mere Munne Aa" ("Jyoti", 1969), and "Yeh Raat Yeh Tanhaiyan" ("Gunaah", 1993).[1][2][3][4][5]
