- According to lyricist Irshad Kamil, it took him ten days to write the lyrics of this song since he found director Imitiaz Ali's brief for it very challenging. Ali was shooting the song in Prague and wanted the song's lyrics to be based on a popular Czech folk tale called "Sleepy John". Imtiaz Ali also wanted to retain some nonsensical filler lyrics A.R. Rahman had used while composing the song.[1]
